MON1TOR

Effective Date: 19 June 2026

Perfect Paradox Ltd ("we", "us", "our")
Registered in Northern Ireland, United Kingdom — Company Number NI739317

The Short Version

MON1TOR is self-hosted. You run it on your own infrastructure (your NAS, VPS, or cloud host). The metrics, alerts, logs and machine data it gathers are stored in your database, on your servers. We never receive them and have no way to see them.

The only personal data we (or our payment partner, Paddle) handle is what is needed to sell you a one-time licence, validate that licence, and answer your support emails. That's the whole story — the rest spells it out.

1. Scope

This policy explains how we handle personal data in connection with MON1TOR (the "Software"), our website https://mon1tor.perfectparadox.co.uk, and licence sales. It is issued in compliance with the UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, PECR 2003, and the EU GDPR where applicable.

For the limited personal data in Section 3, Perfect Paradox Ltd is the data controller. For your purchase, Paddle acts as Merchant of Record and is an independent data controller for payment data. For everything the Software monitors on your infrastructure, you are the controller — that data never reaches us.

2. Data We Do NOT Collect

The Software does not transmit to us, store on our servers, or process:

This is verifiable: monitor the Software's outbound connections with any firewall and confirm the only call it makes off your network is the licence validation described in Section 5.

3. Data We Collect Directly

4. Payments — Paddle

Purchases are handled by Paddle.com Market Ltd as Merchant of Record. Paddle collects and processes your payment and billing data under its own privacy policy (paddle.com/legal/privacy). We receive only the information needed to provision and support your licence — never your full card details.

5. The Only Network Call the Software Makes to Us

To confirm your licence is valid, your self-hosted instance periodically performs a licence validation against our endpoint. This call carries your licence identifier only — never your monitoring data. The Software is designed to keep functioning for core monitoring during brief connectivity gaps.

6. Retention

Billing records are kept as long as required by UK tax law (typically 6 years). Licence records are kept for the lifetime of your licence plus a reasonable period. Support emails are kept while relevant and then deleted.

7. Your Rights

Under UK/EU GDPR you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, or object to processing. Contact info@perfectparadox.co.uk. You may also complain to the UK ICO (ico.org.uk).

8. Changes

We will update the Effective Date above when this policy changes.
